Moe & D’s Restaurant Grill & Bar

The glorious chicken wings of Moe & D’s (123 S Church St.) are less than 10 minutes from Rocky Mount Event Center. Also known for their cheesesteaks and burgers, Moe & D’s now opens early at 7 am for shrimp and grits breakfast.

Royal Paradise

The vibrant flavors of the Caribbean come alive in downtown Rocky Mount at Royal Paradise (103 Atlantic Ave.), home of authentic Jamaican recipes. Favorite dishes include their jerk chicken, curry goat, turkey chops, and of course, Yola’s Famous Banana Bread.

Larema Coffee House

Larema (106 S Washington) is a beautiful shop for coffee, teas, and lattes where they also serve a variety of breakfast sandwiches and sandwich wraps for lunch. Don’t leave without a cup of fluffy banana pudding.

Main Street Gastropub

A relative newcomer to the downtown Rocky Mount restaurant scene, Main Street (129 SE Main Rocky Mount) is open for lunch and dinner. The lamb chops are mouthwatering but don’t overlook the Asian Pork Belly or the Super Hella Creamy Mac n Cheese, seriously the creamiest Mac ever.

Bin & Barrel Wine Bar and Bottles

Bin & Barrel (177 Nash St) is a nice space to settle in and unwind after the games have ended. With a menu celebrating red and white wines from around the globe, they also serve a selection of shareable plates (charcuterie, pretzels, wings, and flatbread).

The Mecca on Douglas (and Bruno’s Burger Bar)

The Mecca (150 E Thomas) has become a lovely spot to gather downtown that hosts food trucks throughout the week. Many days you’ll find the best burgers and fries in North Carolina from Bruno’s Burger Bar, which offers a giant 1lb beef burger with patty triplets covered in cheese.

D Chill Spot

D Chill Spot (207 E Thomas) offers Jamaican cuisine with platters of chicken, goat, oxtail, seafood, and more. If you’re looking for a cost-effective lunch on the run, try Yaad Specials for the win with your choice of a chicken dish (brown stew, jerk, or curry) for $5.50.
